Home Healthcare Agency has the capability of making arrangements for Adult Companion Services. These services are usually ideal for individuals aged 18 years old or older who require non-medical assistance and safety supervision. For some individuals, socialization and recreational activities are also arranged as part of their care plan.
The core of this service is to help the individual develop self-care skills and socialization skills which are essential for living life and attending to their responsibilities on a daily basis. The companion can supervise and guide the individual in fulfilling certain tasks such as:
- Grocery Shopping
- Going to Community Events or Attending Appointments
- Meal Preparation
- Personal Care and Hygiene
- Laundry and Organizing the Closet
- Paying Bills
- …and more
The idea is to help the individual to become more capable of living independently. This program is the much-preferred approach as therapy and training for individuals with disabilities. Through these services, many individuals are able to avoid institutional care and therefore have a better chance of thriving as responsible and functioning members of the community.
